I am a Senior BACP accredited counsellor with nine years of counselling and mental health experience.I offer therapy and have worked with the following issues. Stress,Anxiety,Post Traumatic Stress,Depression,Domestic abuse,Sexual abuse,Physical and Psychological abuse issues.I offer therapy for creative blocks,student burn out,race issues,identity issues,adoption issues,bereavment,seperation,loss attachment issues.I work with clients who may have been in the psychiatric system but are now living and being supported in the community.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I have practised as a counsellor since 2001 in both paid and voluntary settings.I work according to the BACP code of ethics and equal opportunities and do not discriminate on the basis of race,class,religion,culture,sexuality or dissability.I have extensive work experience with abuse issues,such as childhood sexual abuse ,domestic violence and have worked with both men and women.I worked for the NHS in a psychiatric fascility for two years as a mental health support worker,this experience was pivitol in my descision to work as a therapist.I completed a certificate in person centered counselling at Thames Valley University,I then went onto study two years counselling diploma at The Gestalt centre London.I count my success at having supported a diverse range of clients and issues over the last nine years with 98% positive feed back.I hold a BA in Social studies and successfuly completed an MA in Intercultural and Group therapy at the University of London.
